Raptor r is a rich person’s vehicle and very special. Both friends that are getting one this year made over a million net in the last 12 months and given that we are also seeing the change to electric they kind of know the r will be a collectors item. I consider raptors semi special but also extremely practical. They fill a lot of roles for a person, fun and practicality but also are mass produced. My prediction is under msrp within the next 4-6 months for normal ones but probably never for raptor r.

Was at FORD dealership today chatting w a sales rep that is a friend of the fam. Was told to expect ADM thru 2023... AVG ADM for Bronco's, Raptors and GT500's at this dealership is @ 10-25k...and per sales rep, they are selling.

Makes sense. Those vehicles are “special”. Many people buy them that would otherwise buy German and Italian cars.

We are not talking about XLT’s here - these are premium performance trucks sold to people that can afford MSRP or higher, regardless of the market. I wouldn’t expect a large price drop like this is a Silverado etc..

In 2017 I bought a new f150 Platinum. I offered 10k under sticker. Showed the dealer an ad in paper showing that price down south. They accepted my offer.

Broncos with markups are sitting on dealer lots getting dusty. Good. F em.

I wouldn't expect to see MSRP pricing at dealerships until mid to late 2025. However, you might find good pricing on used ones.
The FED is going to keep raising interest rates until 8% to cool the economy. People will stop buying and production/sales will slow.
This in turn will result in layoffs. Prices high and no one buying is stagflation/recession. People will sell houses, trucks, etc. cheap just to get out of debt. All this is caused by poor government decisions, like huge spending bills, lock-downs, etc.

Now if the government changes policy direction, you might see a "soft landing" in 2023. Prices will still be high due to inflation, but production will improve and you will find dealerships willing to bargain.

I think I watch too much Bloomberg TV. Nothing but doom and gloom for 2023.

It’s a business based on a commodity with a true value that’s dictated by the market. If it’s worth ADM to certain people, that doesn’t make them morons — it just means they’re willing to pay more to have one. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the ADM trend— but just as we’ve seen sub-MSRP pricing in the past, the market fluctuations can and should be able to move both directions.

Supply and demand. Pretty simple. Ford can't make them fast enough because of one part or another not being available. Being that it is a premium product, people with money have no problem paying a little more if they don't have to wait a year. The dealers are benefitting. I don't think Ford makes any more money unless you happen to finance through Ford.
