I dunno, if you have the 36 gallon tank, you could go 8-10 hrs between fill ups, depending on how hard and how low you run it. .

The truck is easy to drive. I did 16 hours over 1,000 miles Steamboat to STL and I never left the driver seat. Every time we stopped, the wife or daughter were asleep...so i kept going.

Check your fluids, change the oil if needed, fill all your tires up including the spare, get a gallon of washer fluid rated for freezing temps, take some basic roadside emergency supplies and go with God.

Few months ago I towed a U-Haul from SLC to NYC, then drove back on the Transamerica Trail from OBX to SLC. No big deal either way. This is a 2014 Raptor with 90k miles. Did 10-12 hour days while towing. Shorter than that off-road. Easy drive. Highly recommend a soft cooler or something for drinks/snacks in the back seat. Relax, check the fluids once in a while, and enjoy the scenery.

If you're doing any off-road miles, the suggestions change a bit. I'm not a highly experienced off-roader, but I was surprised that I had to clear the trail twice from trees that had blown over. Was really glad I had some soft shackles and a couple snatch straps with me. Wish I would have thrown an electric chainsaw in...but I'm lazy and would prefer not to saw/cut/ax stuff manually. You don't need a chainsaw, just something to take some branches off trees. Also carried extra fuel, Maxtrax, extra water, shovel, first aid kit, assorted tools, air compressor, tire repair kit, etc. Great fun, no problems. Have a great trip!

I've done multiple last minute long road trips (2000+ miles round trip) and didn't worry about anything since the truck was my daily driver and I knew it's condition. I'll add a larger tool kit, some extra drinking water and snacks and go. I've never had any major repairs needed while on the road.

One of my best investments was a bed cover. It was nice not worrying about what was in the bed when I made my stops.

Enjoy the trip. Took a trip a couple months ago from the Baltimore area to Holiday Island Arkansas about 1100 miles. Had the oil changed and everything checked before I left. Great trip, straight through about 17 hours. Found out one thing, better gas mileage at 80 and above then 70 or slower.
Mines a 2017 with less then 30K. Two more days to wait until the new Raptor will be displayed.
Be safe.

Just made the drive from Ny to Florida. I did everything you said you planned on doing and if I could have a mulligan, I’d make sure things were more easily accessible. Chargers, cooler, flashlight.

+1 on the bedcover. Best investment ever, keeps prying eyes out and cargo in.

Check air pressures, track your MPG , bring some emergency supplies including jumper cables, first aid, etc. And a soft cooler for drinks and snacks. Drive carefully and have fun!

I take window cleaner and a roll of paper towels with me to clean the headlights before the night shift. Not all gas stations have a squeegee at the pump. Couple full size towels just in case I spill something.
