that was a house fire. The owner had some sort of ignition in the garage due to stored gas cans. they lost everything.
Kibbetech finished that truck not that long ago. pretty huge bummer.
Ok, here's my update on my oil pressure issue. Dealer finally called back, mentioned both valve covers and seals needed to be replaced. It was based on an SSN (never heard of an SSN - but they stated it is similar to a TSB). The SSN stated something like, if there was power loss and no oil consumption (which was my case)...then perform the SSN described above. I'll should be picking it up in a day or two - they are still working on my recurring remote start issue. I'm hoping the power loss problem is finally gone and this just isn't a bandaid to a bigger problem.
Im not sure what an SSN is other than a SOCIAL. There shouldnt be any oil pressure in the valve covers to trip off that code. That's strange. But good luck to you and your truck.! Hopefully they fix the real problem.
I have developed 4X4 issues over the past two months, just as my truck turned a year old,,
I do a lot of road trips with my truck and about 2 months ago I noticed a grinding sound or rattle from the front driver wheel, it is an intermediate problem, as you are driving along above 70mph the front will make the grinding/rattle sound getting louder and louder until a few bang are heard and felt threw the steering wheel. the noise will stop until it builds up again, it would repeat this over and over at high way speeds.
the first time this happened I took it to the dealership where I purchased the Raptor and they were unable to repeat the sound and asked me to bring it back when it was acting up. I ended up needed to take the truck on a road trip about 700mile, the entire time the truck was acting up, I ignored the problem hoping it would break something for the shop to fix, at the end of the trip I noticed when my 4X4 was engaged the steering to have a mind of its own pulling me in random directions. So I took it back to ford, I let them know it was pulling in weird ways in 4x4 and that the grinding was still happening above 70mph.
Ford kept my truck for a month this time, in that time they replaced the front wheel locks and one tire, they said they fixed the grindin it was caused by bad wheel locks. The pulling in 4x4 caused them to open a ticket directly with ford, I gave them 2 weeks to hopefully fix the issue while I was away for business when I get back they just blame ford for slow responses and that they just replaced the tire to try and fix the 4x4 pull, they let me take the truck home telling me the grinding should be fixed but the 4x4 is still broken and they will give me a call once ford gives them tests to run.
2 days later, last night, I'm driving home and the grinding starts acting up as if nothing was done to the truck. I confront the dealership this morning and they are doubling down saying its fords fault for not telling them how to fix this issue.
My mom owns an almost identical truck to mine there is a noticeable issue with the 4x4, I even let the dealership know I would make time for them to repeat the issue, I feel like they think Im crazy and that they cant repeat this issue
Very Frustrated!
I realize I'm jumping in mid-stream here and you may have this already fixed, however, I had a 2013 Platinum 4x4 that would start grinding, banging from what sounded like the front driver's wheel at 35+ mph (and flashing the wrench with "4x4 Fault" code). Sounded like I was driving down the road on the rotor! Was awful. After several trips to my LFD, they verified it was the transfer case trying to engage in 4L on it's own, and they couldn't figure out why. After 3 trips it stopped doing it on it's own and I traded in the truck shortly thereafter. I have read that there is a set of vacuum lines (the hard plastic kind) that can crack due to heat from the exhaust headers and once they start leaking the transfer case will try and partially engage? (It's been awhile since I read that info - so I might be misquoting) but you might want to research this angle. I believe there was a thread over on F-150.com...Good Luck!
I actually posted a new post about the same thing. Didnt think to post it here. I have never had this issue until today. In 4 auto the steering would engage or pull like its a tight turn and i would correct then it would again pull in another direction. I have no rattle or sound tho.I have developed 4X4 issues over the past two months, just as my truck turned a year old,,
