I agree but am definitely intrigued by it. I've been following the thread for some time just to get a feel for the issues before I order.

My only question/concern is why are these things shipping in such an inconsistent way with regards to the configuration, software and firmware version.

You figure that they should sort of be consistent and that should help get better support from the vendor.

I get that they are shipping from China but you would think they would load them up the same/similarly since once they get to North America someone is going to have to support them otherwise there are going to be alot of frustrated people and they will will want to ship them back and get a refund.

Regardless, I'm likely going to pull the trigger on one and see if I luck out at all.

I would bet that there isn't that much of an operation on the China side. I'd bet that the folks on the China side I related to those on the California side, and it's effectively all one company...something like that.

As far as why the products aren't shipped consistently, I would guess they just aren't all that organized. They've got lots of versions of the software to deal with, between different products and integration into different brands/models/years, and trims. I'd also imagine there is no QA department. They likely don't want people just applying the latest update just because as they can't be 100% problem it won't actually cause something to break. That and these fixes seem to be applied in different ways.

One things for sure, I'm not throwing out my current screen. I'm not confident this company is here to stay. They may just decide they don't want it anymore. Hopefully, they'll be able to sell out to a more establish company. It's entirely possibly though that there isn't any patents or special about these things that can't be reproduced, or reproduced with better code, with a bit of an investment.

But it's a risk I'll take. If I can use it for 2-3 years, I think I'll be happy with the decision.

My particular unit is sitting at the post office, waiting to be picked up. Will do the install tonight.

I put all the files on my usb stick (see pic)it loaded but there is no change. I still have the non f150 weird screen.Did you mean place them in the zip file?

It’s been a while since I did it. Try going into setting and do a restore factory settings with the files the way you have it but remove the PX6 file.

That last move did it HOLY MOLY.
I am back to the f150 with the console again and my original problem (index stopping)is gone. I am missing my CarPlay app for my built in CarPlay but I am very happy to be back to this point. Thank you so very much for your patience Jonnie510.

Zlink 3.1.17 APK file. It’s the latest.
They sent it to me but I can’t seem to find any of the files they’ve sent me at this point.
