Phoenix Android Radio 4th Gen PX6

This morn I found and tried the canbus upgrade also. After I did it it now does what people were complaining about instead of switching to next track it goes to tuner. I also tried clearing the cache in apps for my original prob and no luck. I have the Sony system.

Try renaming the px6 file to px6_format or format_px6 and load it again.

Did that loaded the file as you suggested now I have this
All in Chinese but my original problem is gone no more index stopping errors

Now rename it back to PX6 and load it again.

Yep thought that was the logical next step.I did that and it still came up in Chinese again. I don’t know if it somehow changes the actual file I’m gonna download it again from Dropbox and try that

Mine will look like this if I change the language to Chinese under the language setting.

Under settings you set language as English yes?

Someone describe in detail the track skip problem? Maybe I’m not understanding and it’s doing it for me?

I press right and the next song goes.
If I’m in sync... the next preset goes?

I haven’t checked to see if the preset changes in sync while I have Spotify playing and press it . Is that what you guys are seeing?

I don’t want to keep saying I don’t have the problem if I’m not reproducing it the way you guys are seeing it.

Not trying to be a ******, but two threads in, is this thing worth the headaches just to have an iPad-like screen? Seems kinda cool, but buggier than the Everglades.

I figured out how to put it in English but it is completely different no sync console etc. It isn’t even for a f150 anymore. As far as the skip issue when it was working. If I was in full screen built in CarPlay when I hit the next track button on the steering wheel it did nothing except maybe mute the volume for a split second. I installed the canbus update to see if it would correct it. After the install when I hit the next track button on the steering wheel it would send it to my sync 3 console playing a Sirius radio station.

Not trying to be a ******, but two threads in, is this thing worth the headaches just to have an iPad-like screen? Seems kinda cool, but buggier than the Everglades.

Personally, I didn't buy this just for the ipad like screen, but the functionality that came with it. I don't know that I would have gone for it if all I got was a giant sync screen. As far as music goes, I mostly do Amazon music and am looking forward to using the Amazon music app. Amazon through Android Auto, or Ford+Alexa through applink...just isn't ideal. I may even use a portable USB drive for music and see how I like that. Yes, I can do it now, but browsing will be difficult with sync functionality and the smaller screen. Then there are the other apps I use on a regular basis, though not sure how well they will translate to truck use.

I'm not saying the screen size isn't a plus, or that any of this is necessity, but I do see some value.

And if I don't feel like it's worth it, I'm sending it back.

I agree but am definitely intrigued by it. I've been following the thread for some time just to get a feel for the issues before I order.

My only question/concern is why are these things shipping in such an inconsistent way with regards to the configuration, software and firmware version.

You figure that they should sort of be consistent and that should help get better support from the vendor.

I get that they are shipping from China but you would think they would load them up the same/similarly since once they get to North America someone is going to have to support them otherwise there are going to be alot of frustrated people and they will will want to ship them back and get a refund.

Regardless, I'm likely going to pull the trigger on one and see if I luck out at all.

Sorry, you also need the touchkeycfg.xml file and the factorySet.xml file.

I will add a download like shortly.
