Nothing within the oem systems/ alarms/functions/sync interface, etc are modified in any way, shape or form. Everything works like oem.

I am having a ball.
It’s so easy to install, that for 600 bucks... I wouldn’t care if I had to replace it every year. Like an oil change. 30 minutes and back in action.
Best upgrade to my truck since the tune.
