Hasn't Ford said that the new truck has 1" more clearance? If true, the suspension is, in a way, in "mid perch" setting already, but without the loss of travel or warranty. Not that some people aren't going to want to lift it more, but it doesn't seem like something people need to fret over without at least driving one.

1" of travel, not clearance

A lot of the arguments so far are why not have the mid perch availability for Gen2 because it felt good on my Gen1. Do you really think Ford/Fox did not design a combination to feel best at manufacturer specs? And this is "assuming" the ride needs adjustment on the Gen2 which no one on the forum here has experience in. Ford also is taking into account all the experience and feedback of the Gen1 when they designed and built this Gen2.

The next argument is for height purposes. Who cares if their is a setting or not, as long as the ride is excellent there are many many ways to adjust suspension height, or in this argument's case the truck's height. Maybe you should look into body lifts

No it does not have more clearance, people have already proven it in person at auto shows and events

Do you really think fox and ford did design it for the best possible combination at manufacturers specs? They didn't on the gen 1. Also you aren't covering all of the uses of perch adjustment. You gain ground clearance, you gain clearance and the ability to run 37s, yes you get the appearance if that matters to you, and most importantly the springs are compressed differently at the various perches, allowing the owner to select the nature and behavior of the ride.

On the material they sent to the dealerships; http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f262/2017-travel-increased-1-8-front-2-rear-49216/

However, I find it hard to believe Ford designed it "exactly" at 13" front and 14" rear travel. I bet they are rounded numbers. I guess time will tell.

No the numbers are not exact, in other publications they listed the rear travel at 13.9" over the 12.1 of the gen1, a generous increase, though not 2"

2" more travel. Ford's marketing material says "better running clearance", but I thought I'd seen a number put to that somewhere.

Yes, I was thinking the Gen 1 was 12", not 11.2 :specialed:
