Thanks Birdman. I guess I am what you all would call a Street Queen, but if every one is doing it. I was just wondering why and what benefits it has WITHOUT having to look through a hundred threads and a thousand IMOs

Madcow, the reason I didn't want to search it is because there is so many threads and it took Birdman 30 secs to help.

Anyone know someone in the Southeast that can do this?

Honestly it's simple enough to do yourself if you can turn a wrench. We don't have any vendors in the southeast that immediately come to mind for perch adjustments. Any off road shop with proper instructions could do it easily as well.

Ha, after what happen to me this morning.
I can you that doing the Mid Perch on a street queen is a good idea when you need to do a panic stop!
It really does help with the nose dive and also gives you more control to maneuver out off a rear end collision.

Just did mid perch and it wasn't bad. Free rental of McPhearson strut compressors at local auto parts store.
Some people were worried about the units slipping, so I used cable ties to lessen any velocity if they slipped. I tried the compressors at the front of the shock buckets but it only compressed one side of the coil.

Like RPG's video had to take one apart and feed the clamp end up inside the shock tower in the back corner.

I found the best way to hold the coil in the tower was a C clamp at the top.
Then drop the A arm with the jack and expose the mid groove

Here is a picture of the set screw, enough room to move snap ring, perch and put set screw back in.

And like others have said, it drives much better, no nose dive and the control feels much improved.
