Do what I did

Drive it stock for a week (max) and then you will be extra amazed at how much better it is

That's still what I'm leaning towards. I just want to get it off road some before the mid perch change so I feel the difference.

Just be careful not to bash in the stock skidplate if you plan on keeping the stock front bumper

I had mine stock for about 4 months before making the switch to mid. It was noticeable immediately once we were done setting it and I sat in the truck. Let alone out in the dirt. I say run it stock for a bit so you can see the difference.

I already figured that a stronger skid plate/bumper combo will be needed down the road.

Just have to save for that and figure out what to get.

I just did mine today by myself. I did it still attached to the truck. The first side took me awhile, the second one went alot quicker. 2-3 hour job total for a novice. Im happy with the results. The hardest part is getting the spring clamps positioned just right and cranking em down about as tight as you can with the jack under the a arm then just let the jack down on the frame stand and watch the shock drop then your good to go. Pop the black cap up and loosen the set screw, tap up the blue base and move up the snap ring. Crank the jack back up, take the spring clamps off and thats about it.
