3.5 hours of labor... I dropped it off at 9:30 am this morning and I am still waiting. When I first got here they seemed a little dumbfounded, but then did a little research and decided to tackle it. At least this will all be covered under warranty.

I know this is probably a dumb question but figured I'd post in here as opposed to another new mid perch thread. - when I was on the phone with my local truck shop (Lowcountry 4x4 charleston SC) the guy kept telling me mid perch was a horrible idea, and to get their "raptor specific spacer". I kept telling the guy that I just want it adjusted to mid perch, he finally said "fine, but the ride will be crappy, and you will be preloading the shocks alot, but I guess we will do it." So my question is, does he have any clue what he's talking about? All I've heard is how the ride is so much better.

I live in Mount Pleasant and called Lowcountry as well. They tried to sell me on spacers. Go to Mt Pleasant auto service center. They will knock it out for 162 bucks after mentioning a 10% off coupon online. 843-881-1275.

Drove it home from the dealer service shop today and it drove fine. I didn't notice any more of a rough ride. It "floats" a little but more than stock, but all lifted trucks do. I think that's why Ford originally put this on low perch. Just my guess. I really like the stance, tho.

Mid Perch Done!

This weekend I met up with Forum member "Nitefighter" aka Ben and he hooked me up with the Mid Perch Mod. It took him just over an hour to complete and I am very pleased with the change. I still need to get an alignment but love the way the truck sits now.

Ben is a great guy and it was cool to meet another raptor owner. If anybody in the Puget Sound area is thinking about getting this done give Ben a shout.

Mid Perch Done! Awesome!

Had mid perch and alignment done about 9 days ago, and what a difference! No more nose-diving on hard braking, and I think it rides much better. I would describe it as firmer maybe. Not to mention the truck is much closer to level, and it looks a ton better. Anyone considering this or is on the fence, DO IT! You will not be sorry. :rotflmao:
