Perch Mod Discussion

I don't think any of us have had issues with mid perch.

After weighing the pros versus cons I am doing the mid perch tomorrow. My local Ford dealer would do it, but wanted 500 bucks! The service guy who I have dealt with for years says it would void the warranty on associated parts. They had never done it and with that cost I looked elsewhere. I called a dealer that sells a ton of Roush Raptors in Fairlawn Ohio and they said they do mid perch all the time and it does not void my warranty lol. 350 bucks. Last time I went in there, I told em I was interested in the roush kit and they let me test drive one, so maybe while I wait I can do another test

Is that Montrose Ford? If so, I might have to stop down there and have them do mine. Does that also include the allingment?

Hey Carl,

It was Montrose Ford. Call Dan, the Roush Salesman and he will set you up. They told me they set all their new Roushs Raptors to mid perch because the extra weight of the SC. They assured me that it is does not affect the warranty which is different than I was told elsewhere. I know there is debate on this, but that is their stance.

Mid perch mod opinions

I am thinking about getting the mid perch mod done on my brand new 2013 Raptor. The shop is quoting me 275 for the modification and front end alignment. Is it worth dropping 275 just to raise the front in a bit?

It's all personal preference, I haven't done it yet to mine but plan on doing it myself then taking it to get an alignment. If you do a fair bit of offroading it seems like a good mod for the money.
