He means the customer is charged a flat hourly rate, but the tech doesn't get paid a flat hourly rate. = more profit for dealer.

I'm guessing that's hat he means anyways.

Yeah that's what I mean. Not sure if it's true. Just what I got from what Pirate and Soco said, and summed it up

That looks like shit, I would be pissed too. WTF were they thinking? If they didn't know how to do it properly they should not have attempted it.

10-4 on that. The tech that let the truck go back looking like that should be fired on the spot. End of story. Yes everyone makes mistakes, but that fact that the dealer let this thing go really chaps my ass. What did they think "ok, maybe he would not notice".

Any business should have policies and procedures to make sure nothing like this happens. The scary thing is shit like this and worse happens all the time. I wonder what else slips through the cracks? Now we get into safety issues. These techs are not guys doing widow tinting, they are professionals performing a service that not done correctly, could potentially injure someone along with their families.

No way, you too. Okay nobody touches my shocks unless it is someone willing to have me looking right over their shoulder. ******* ridiculous beating the shit out of a $750.00 dollar shock that doesn't belong to you.

Update: yesterday the dealer drove 90 miles roundtrip to pick up and drop off my truck from my place of biz within my business's hours and replaced the shocks... I'm impressed with the way the problem was handled... They have regained my confidence... Thank you all for sharing your feelings and opinions, this forum was very helpful in the process.

Great news! This thread just taught me that I am going to do my own. I do not trust the dealers around here.
