The wheels have come completely off of this thread.

my attempt at going mid perch- at work, i call around, get the truck an alignment appt. check. watch the RPG video 100 times instead of getting shit done. check. call and deal with the ******** ***** behind the parts desk at O'rileys auto parts explaining what a spring compressor set looks like, rent said spring compressors and get them on hold for after work.... check.
get off work and drive the raptor like its a jet to auto parts store, rent spring compressors and haul ass to our shop to begin install and drink a beer with old man... check.

it all goes bad from here.
began taking everything apart and it was going pretty smoothly, pulled my wheel and disconected everything rpg said to in the vid, fed my clamp into the top back of the bucket and began torquing down on the spring while the boss jacked up on the LCA.
get the spring completely collapsed, let off of the lca and the shock drops perfectly leaving me more than enough room than i need to go mid perch. move plastic boot up a little bit and insert my allen key into the set screw, begin applying some pressure to the set screw and SNAP..... **** MY LIFE IN THE BUTT WITH A SAND PAPER ******!
allen keys tip broke off inside of the set screw, strongest magnet known to man cant get it out. i finally break down and call birdman. birdman, i cant thank you enough for giving some random newb raptor owner the time of day!
we decide to slowly drill out the screw, up till 11:30 trying to drill the hardened steel out of the hole. gave up, got pissed, lost my buzz and put the truck back together.
my truck will remain on bottom perch for the time being.

Damn that blows man! What's the plan? Get some better drill bits and keep at it? I don't know if they make a screw extractor that small but those things work like a champ. Do not except defeat!

On the plus side you may have saved some us some grief. I'll definitely hit the set screws with some PB Blaster the night before I do it.

Can anyone post pics of the factory, mid and top perch settings? I would love to see a side by side of all three settings.
