Damn that blows man! What's the plan? Get some better drill bits and keep at it? I don't know if they make a screw extractor that small but those things work like a champ. Do not except defeat!

On the plus side you may have saved some us some grief. I'll definitely hit the set screws with some PB Blaster the night before I do it.

I think the plan runs between rolling over to a shop that can pull the shock off, put it in a legit drill press and drill out the screw. Or buy a set of shocks, perch them out and install them. Just swap em. Or, buy a set of 3.0's (kind of a waste of money for what I do) and Install them.

Yea I looked and looked and looked! Quite a bit to sift through. Didn't see any side by side of the three settings. Sometimes that stuff gets buried deep. Figured if someone could give me a link or repost that would be helpful. Thanks though

I would NOT reccomend using easy outs. We had this same problem at out south Chicago mid perch party today, and we tried an easy out and the bastard snapped inside the set screw hole as well!!!! Could of been a fluke but now, nearly the entire hole is filled with hardened steel. No beuno.

Just thinking more about this. I'm betting a liberal dose of PB blaster and a torx bit lightly hammered into the allen head will get it out. Time will tell.

Yep hit it with a hammer is all you have to do. On are cat tracks that is all I have to do to losen them up.

You need a solid hit tho punch type so you might have to cut your Allen wrench so it's more like a punch it won't work with a bent one.
