I installed (connected only) my Pedal Commander Saturday morning as I had an early drive from NW Suburbs Chicago to Three Oaks, MI for a sporting clay shoot and wanted to give the unit a highway test.
As I pulled my 2017 Raptor (8,100 miles) out of the parking garage I noticed an immediate difference it 'City 0'. As I made my way to the highway I went 'City +1' for a bit and then 'City +2'. What a difference already in acceleration from stop lights/signs. Once on the highway headed to Chicago I bumped it to 'City +3', instantaneous bumps in RPM and acceleration. I watched my MPG at each pump and saw 14.7 to 14.1 as I went through 'City'.
For grins I bumped it to Sport and the truck lept with same pressure on the accelerator.
As I was turning off the highway after 107 miles trip avg was 14.4 MPG going 75-80 MPH the entire trip. I gave Sport a bump as I made my way down the street. Didn't test '+/-' but did try Sport+ for a couple of seconds. WOW!
On the return trip I had a stop in Long Beach, IN. After arriving home, trip MPG AVG was 14.3.
I am totally impressed thus far and can't wait to give the Pedal Commander a more thorough test but wanted to provide my initial impressions.
I've got three friends with Screw Raptors ('14, '11 and '11) and plan on letting each of them give the PC a test drive for a week. Confident that there will be three more sales.
I've got the trailer brake controller but love @
srs installation - so clean and perfect location for sight and adjustment. @
Hiapo510 has a nice install as well but I'm right handed and would prefer on the right side. Was considering moving the TBC to the passenger cubby but @
Sitdown advised that while it can be done its a major PITA due to the size of the TBC, need to cut out more room, and need for an extension for the TBC cable. I'm going to let other Ratpor friends give my PC a try first before I do my install. Will likely try to use the PC mount with a small plate to create a temporary mount over my TBC.
Thanks again for your support and service Jeff!
