Not exactly. It changes the throttle response in 36 different ways. It compliments any vehicle, with or without other performance mods and tuning. Providing on the fly adjustability so that you have full control of he driving experiemce according to the driving environment you are in at any given moment. I personally have a 14 with Roush phase 2 charger, LT headers and 4:88 gears and the changes that the Pedal Commander provodes make my truck that much more fun.

The pedal commander is well worth it. With all of the remapping it does, your truck will feel like a rocket ship. Definitely worth doing this rather than tuning.

Huh. So making your truck FEEL faster is better then actually making it faster?

You must not know how this works. It is well documented here (and other places) how this improves 1/4 mile and 0-60 times.

@Chris@FreedomMotorsports can help with that. Scan the forums and you will find the 0-60 improvements. From what I remember reading, it was a full second quicker. There is also a chart that Chris shared here explaining how the different settings improve overall acceleration. This is not making as much power as a true dyno tune, BUT you are very likely to maintain warranty

There is no direct mechanical connection between the pedal and the throttle. The computer tells the throttle how fast to react when you press the peddal and how far to open when you press it so much. You can floor it as fast as you want the computer only opens it so fast. The PC let's you change that. The throttle opens faster when you press the pedal making the truck quicker.

Let me tell you all something, if you think much better throttle response will only make it "feel" faster, don't buy one. On my '14 with the SC, the crappy Roush tune maintained the crappy Ford throttle response, I got a custom tune just to solve that and it gave me nearly 1 second in 0-60 and TONS of IMMEDIATE acceleration when I hit the gas pedal.

My '18 has crap throttle response, it seems to think about accelerating for .5-1 seconds before laying in the power. I am not endorsing PC, since I have not installed mine yet, but it makes sense. I am driving my rig stock until next weekend, then I will install the PC to be able to give it a fair comparison. If I hit 1000 miles, I will do a 0-60 calc.

Bottom line is it is likely to make it a bit faster 0-60, most coming at initial acceleration, since it brings the throttle response so much faster and it will also make it feel faster all the time, who doesn't want that? Without voiding your warranty? Cheap $300 in a $70k truck IMHO.
