Whipple tune with SP542s and Pedal Commander
I have the whipple tune and SP542 plugs and the pedal commander installed. I LOVE IT. Yes, it is quite aggressive but that's why there are 32 settings available. I have mine set on sport -3, and will probably step down at least one more setting, but I find it AWESOME. You just have to find the sensitivity level you are comfortable with. Just my findings on my particular unit.
Sport. Was running City +3Waiting till I have 1500 Miles on the truck before installing the PC.

I wasn't going to respond but the posting of this Certification has opened the door.
CE Certification excellent! This provides zero credibility. Pretty much a self certification saying you did testing. Doesn't say the type.
Lets see testing to Automotive specifications. I'll help you out.
ISO-11452-2
ISO-11452-4
ISO-11452-9
CISPR25
All the systems including the TPS, ECU, ETB all have to conform to these specifications and are highly scrutinized before being implemented. These test cost hundred of thousands of dollars from Design to placement in the vehicle. I would venture to say that a part that cost $300 has 0 credible testing.
I would think that any system that is controlling that signal should be tested to these same standards as well.
Why should you be concerned? A company I work for makes a piece of equipment that is almost exactly the same. It tells the ECU what the % of ethanol in the fuel is. It doesn't pass any test, and these are real world RF Tests. The difference is the engine really doesn't care if there is a 10% (The amount the signal can change before failure) change in ethanol content.
You are going to know 10% change in throttle to the ECU and that is our threshold point, at max real world (ie. Radar Array) it sends it to 100% duty cycle or 0. That is WOT or Nothing.
I can keep going but I think you get the point.
I purchased one prior to reading this thread. Kinda skimmed through it.
At this point, I'm unsure I'll keep the device for 2 reasons:
Company refusing to technically stand behind their product. A product that if malfunctioned could be detrimental.
Are there other detrimental stock parts on the car? Yes, but they've been tested.
JAX , hopefully not the owner of PC/vitalen, is the extreme opposite of how other reputable company representatives deal with customers and their legitimate concerns.
It's like Airbus or Boeing saying, look my planes have flown thousands of kilometers for decades and generally have been flawless. I neither need to test my aircraft nor prove that I tested.
I also fly on my plane, so it's ok. If you don't like it, **** - and no parachute (because I'm feisty like that lol).
If I owned pc, jax would be muted to customers/resellers.
So me (probably) returning it is a medley of both principle and safety.
