Wow, I am thinking of getting one of these but this was like a argument between my wife and 2 teenage daughters...f'ing painful to get through 17 pages on my phone trying to determine if people are having issues or they are mainly just ford issues, when one happens. I am still confused.

I will buy from whoever gives me a deal for having to stomach through this crap. Hahaha

Send me a PM, we are selling these at a large discount with free shipping and an extra 5% if you are going to TRR.

So Pedal Commander has 4 settings? And the Raptor has 6 settings? So, all 4 settings with the PC, work with all 4 settings? So there are 24+ settings/variations?

Can someone simplify this in 2 sentences for me?

Thanks

PC has 4 modes, and in each of those four modes you can go from -4 to +4

Example: Sport mode has -4,-3,-2,-1,0,+1,+2,+3,+4

All modes work like that.

Edit: -4 being the least sensitive and +4 being the most sensitive

I love my pedal commander. I think there's an issue with it hanging up in a gear sometimes. It bounces off the rev limiter and doesn't want to shift unless I let off. In sport mode is the only time I've noticed it.

Eco mode is fantastic for driving in traffic
City +1 is my go to otherwise
Sport on the gen1 is too much, very difficult to not burn out tires

Wow. I mean, what can you even say about this thread. I saw a bunch of people mention the PC in their sigs so I figured I'd look into it. Saw this thread had 34 pages and just wanted to shoot myself. I thought, how do you turn an aftermarket throttle response controller into yet another Gen1 vs Gen2 war? Boy was I in for a surprise! When people started throwing around antitrust laws I lost it. This thread is the Trump of threads -- making FRF great again!

All that said I still have an actual question. I'm looking to decide on a PC setting and never touch it again. Seems most people leave it in either City +1 or Sport +1 mode for the most part. The two questions I have are:

1. How would you compare City +1 w/ Normal mode vs no PC w/ Sport Mode? How about Sport +1 w/ Normal mode vs no PC w/ Sport mode?
2. If you got into some somewhat serious weather and needed to switch to Weather mode or just 4A w/ Normal mode do you feel like it would still be safe leaving PC on City +1 or Sport +1?

I just want a Normal mode that's a little more aggressive (but not as aggressive as Sport mode) without making Weather mode too dangerous. Thanks for the info!

I recommend Sport +0 for ya... If you wanna race some sucker throw it in Sport +2 or so. I haven't used City mode on my PC yet.

If you are in weather (I haven't seen any here in AZ) my guess is you could simply put it in the Weather mode on the Raptor and leave your PC where it was and you should be fine. Order one and play around with it... Seems like the most popular is Sport +1 but play around with what you like and what best matches your driving.

Appreciate the feedback, but I guess ordering one and playing with it is exactly what I wanted to avoid. From the more detailed reviews I've read it seems like people expect to have to use different PC settings for different environments. I totally understand why some people want to do that, but it's just not something I wanna do. The idea of trying to choose from 30+ settings and making that also work with Normal, Weather, and Sport just seems like something I would spend way, way too much time on. I think for $200 I'd give it a whirl, but I may wait to see what, if anything, the FP tune does to the overall feel before plunking down the money on this thing.

I honestly think you are missing out if you don't buy one... It really 'makes' the Raptor feel like it should. Other's I think will agree as you have probably read. Buy one, Throw it in Sport 0 and see what you think. If you don't LOVE IT send it back. Install is a minute, 5 if you mount the unit.

(I don't work for Pedal Commander or any sort of shop that sells them).
