Believe me, I want to post a photo because that means I can actually use it. We're under a gentle all-day curfew here :(
Don't want to hijack this thread (whats left of it at least hahaha) - but someone added to my thread about wheel hop maybe causing the damage. I did have some violent, IMO, wheel hop - so that could've been it?
I started a thread about wheel hop & posted clear videos of it if you're interested in giving your thought if maybe the wheel hop also added to the deformity.
I responded to your thread. I didn’t see a wheel hop one but I’ll look for it.

...that the truck has a huge flaw that shouldn't be overlooked.
I've read this thread LMAO the entire time... too much fun!

But I don't agree that the payload issue is a "flaw". These Raptors are awesome machines, and in my opinion, are the best truck for its intended purpose. But I've never read (online, Ford.com, Raptor brochure, forums, etc) that the Raptor is good at hauling or towing. In fact, it's just the opposite - the Raptor SUCKS at both of these. And my Lariat F150 SUCKS at off-roading. LOL

If you bought a Raptor for towing or hauling, sorry - you may have bought the wrong truck. But your payload concern is not a "flaw".

The fact remains that there's no one truck on the market that is perfect at everything one could need it for. If you're not happy with your rig, upgrade it or buy something that best suits your needs.

Shit, I trade in when I get tired of my vehicle’s color. Same with my wives. If the truck doesn’t suit your intended purpose, burn the sucker.

What you all keep getting wrong and continue to ignore is that I did not buy this truck for hauling. That's why I never looked at the payload. I didn't buy a Mustang but I got the the payload of a one. 4 guys going fishing isn't 'hauling" but that puts this truck at max payload. Let's just ignore that and call me an idiot for pointing it out.

If the very short payload of this vehicle isn't worth a discussion what is? Let's get another thread started about tires. We should all just continue to stroke each other right? "Your Raptor is awesome bro, no no, you're Raptor is awesome bro."

On a slightly serious note, do you think the payload rating is on the conservative side? I regularly load mine up way over capacity and haven’t had a problem. I don’t know a lot about trucks however. Will a tire explode as a result? I really don’t know. But you do have to realize, as I’m sure you do, this is a specific, purpose built truck, a desert runner.

it is certainly not a jack of all trades, but I’ll be damned if it’s not a master of blasting off road as I’ve done after loading it up with 5 people and our gear and driving 2500 miles from NY to Moab in 2017 and 2019.

I never weighed us or our stuff. Didn’t need to. Stuff the sucker with ur 3 homies, with your load of wood, and floor it across those logging roads. I guarantee it will make it and thrill the shit out of you at the same time.

You can thank me later.

You are absolutely right... you didn't buy it for hauling. Had you, you wouldn't have purchased it. Hmmmm

Apparently you’re missing the point. This truck wasn’t designed to haul. It was designed to go fast as possible off-road.

What you’re doing is this: I bought a 2 seater sports car and this thing sucks because I can’t carry more than 1 person and 1 bag of groceries in the trunk. You sound like an ignorant ******* complaining about an aspect of the car it wasn’t ever designed to excel at.

people are giving you shit for pointing out something that most other Raptor owners were AWARE of before they bought it.

When I bought my 2013, I knew the payload was less than my 2017 Tacoma. I’m not ignorant of such important things when I’m about to drop $40-70k on something like a niche* truck.
