Waste of money just take the truck to a spring shop have them add a leaf. Way cheaper and does same thing. That’s what I did

Please compare the thickness of the factory leafs vs the Deavers before making comments about them being anywhere near “the same thing for less money”. Did you also remove your rear block to shorten the U-Bolts and greatly reduce axle wrap?

I don't mean to rub salt in the wound but the Raptor was not designed for payload use. Might want to trade it in for a F250 or F350.

Lol - the truck clearly wasn't designed for payload use my friend. A Nissan Quest minivan has a 1200lb payload...that's the point. I don't need a truck with a high payload. I simply never imagined the Raptor would be so low. 100% my fault for not looking prior to the purchase but I've owned half ton trucks for 20 years. I've never had an issue with payload. That is exactly why I posted this thread. Many people (including myself) go to the forums for information before they buy. It's something that I wish I didn't overlook. I'm not sure it would have changed my decision but possibly.

And for what's it's worth. I wouldn't own a Ford if I didn't own a Raptor. They knocked it out of the park with this truck but I feel there are other trucks in the lower models that surpass Ford. I'm absolutely not getting into that endless debate...just my humble opinion.

I've been up on the Golden Road and all around Moosehead a few times. Can't wait to get a Raptor to explore those side roads where I didn't want to take the F350.

I've taken an empty F350 down the Golden Road. It's comical the first 20 mins then it's painful. My camp is in North Easy Carry at the northern tip of the lake.

Kan't weee, wee ,we Just all get along. Stolen quote from a worthless sack of Sht -

I was in the same boat - Should of bought a F250 instead of a 2014 First Gen.

I installed Deaver +2 springs and SVC Adjustable bump stops. The Bump stops help to box the rear frame. Rides better than stock un-loaded and I can adjust the bump stops to help pick up the load when loaded if nessessary. i also had 3" Fox shocks and Eibach springs installed in the front.
After this every Ton, **** and Harry, I hadn't talked to for who knows how long, wanted me to help them move something or take a load to the dump. I ended up putting a shell on it. When I go out camping, I have easily about 650+ LBS of tools & gear in the back with 2 - 230+ and 1 -190 LBs men in the cab. Sometimes a lot more weight if we go for target practice.

If I were you, I would go with Deaver 3" springs and SVC Bump stops - Not too much of an investment compared to the return in capacity. I still might have a leaf or two added to my +2 Deavers.

Timbrens may be a good solution for you while running extra weight. I have them and put them in and out as needed, takes only a few minutes to change out. I spend a lot of time in Northern Maine and I use them when hauling a 4 place sled trailer for 8 hours up I95/1. Loaded they work great, Unloaded is like driving an F450 so be prepared to remove them when not in use. Best of both worlds though and keeps the weight off your suspension.

What does it mean that it rides like an F450 when unloaded?

Also, wouldn't ride be unaffected when not carrying a load because they bump stop doesn't make contact?

Why remove them when unloaded?

Thanks

Who knew a long travel wide bodied sport truck wouldn't work out as good as a Super Duty.
You should sue Ford for calling it a truck.

Listen up Karen - if you took the time to read what I'm trying to accomplish you could clearly see that I'm simply using the vehicle as a truck...not a Super Duty, not a F250, not a dully. I want to load my truck with basic gear and head to camp. A Tacoma can handle what I'm doing with my truck , so can a Ford Ranger. Your acting like I'm pissed because I can't tow a fifth wheel. This is basic stuff EVERY other truck on the market can handle.

The F450 is super stiff unloaded. Take a dirt road with that stiff of a rear end and it feels like a solid axle. The reason you want to remove the Timbrens is because they will hit when the suspension flexes and basically limit the travel.
