I LOVE Cresson! Thats my favorite track in Texas by far! (At least until they get the new F1 track built next year!)
Ducatisps, yeah, you hit the nail on the head! It exactly the same with GT500s, and what I have come to understand is-
Ford Motor Company has all the info you want and need to get, but you go to the guy that sold you the vehicle for information, and they know less about the actual car than you do. Almost always. Thats why I wont order a vehicle unless it is from someone who participates in the forums of that vehicle...Randy here on our site and on TeamShelby always has been a straight shooter. Its not Ford, its not necessarily the dealer, but its the end user, the salesman you deal with. Most are either too lazy to bother to find out information, or just not going to do it because it doesnt make them any more money. While repeat business is important, at least 80% of these guys spend a year or two at one dealer, then pick up and move to the next one hiring. They know you wont be back before they are gone, why go the extra distance, and if they are selling Toyotas in a year, why bother to folllow what Ford is doing while they are here.....crazy, right? Last dealership I went to a sales guy asked if he could help me, I was there to pick up a part and was looking at GT500s they had. To get him to move on, I told him I was holding out for an automatic GT500. He told me he could get me one, and had already sold three of them.
To me, what I want in a salesman is someone who can tell me more about a vehicle I want than I know, and then doesnt leave me in limbo once I walk into the finance manager's office to finish the deal. I dont need tricks or persuasion to buy a car. If Im there, Im there to buy probably. They dont need to tell me how this car runs on dreams and hopes....
