Hey Big Scott, I find the comments and points you made valuable and especially the last post, you brought up some very interesting points that until now, I had not heard or considered. THAT is the value of this discussion and these forums in my opinion. I really hope this 'banned' stuff is just conjecture.. that's not what this place is all about and one of the main reasons I am here.
I will be upgrading my suspension within the next year and as someone who is a "new guy" to the off road world, I must rely upon the opinions and reviews of all these products to inform my decision. I find a lot of this discussion here to be good in that it stimulates thought and brings forth differing points of view. What I do not find valuable is the "this company's products suck or this company types too much on the inter webs." Those comments add nothing to the discussion and just force me to weed through all the "crap" to get to the nuggets of info that matter.
I think some of this is natural when a bunch of passionate people get involved in a discussion and they all have a definite opinion of what they think is best. I get it. You ask me about guns, computers or camera equipment and I'll have some definite opinions and I will gladly explain to you why your points of view are wrong.. lol
It definitely makes me a sad panda when I see good folks getting frustrated or upset and walking away from discussions due to some ******, unnecessary comments. Everyone suffers when that happens because when those people leave, they take their experiences and points of view with them. We have an amazing depth of experience and knowledge here with people like SPRSNK, RPG, Outlaw, ADD, SDHQ, ChrisandAlex, Big Scott, Big J, etc... it would be a damn shame if people didn't feel valued or got so frustrated they left.
Just my opinion here y nada mas,
