Research mid perch mod on here and make it the first thing you do to the truck. It levels the front to the rear. I do a lot of highway driving and it is so much better on the mid perch. Flatter handling, less brake dive and all around tighter feel to the front. Same ride comfort.

We live in America, there is a difference between on road and off road, but not in a flash flood or other related events, I drive at least half my miles off road the other half on.
I was in the rain out side of Mojave, California stopped on paved US 395 in a flash flood above a woop " I had made it through at least five" and a boulder twice the size of my truck rolled through, I looked and skimmed across, God Bless Raptor's I was in a 2 wheel drive 82 Ford F150. On or off makes no difference in an event, even in Jersey, stopped to help at least ten cars, cheers

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't really asking in particular about the Raptor as DD. Just the group thoughts of it versus a modded f150. The raptor was my first experience with a mid travel suspension. I have not really done any off roading. So I have nothing to compare to.

Thanks again.

Sorry about the late reply. I have been looking for Raptors. But got side tracked by a radiator leak in my Expedition and little league baseball.

So far I haven't found one. They all are holding their value well. I have decided to broaden the search to f150 with 6.2l and if I find a perfect Raptor or f150 I will pull the trigger.

I think I will probably wait until 2016. Then compare the new Raptors to the 1st generation.

Go Harley Davidson or lariat limited 2011 or 2012 and upgrade the suspension to raptor parts. Would be sick!!
