Omg my engine has a ticking noise at start up !1!1!1!1!

Mine does it only on Hot starts after it sits for 30 - 60 minutes.And I agree as mentioned earlier about oil flow.

Well crap--now everytime I start up the truck I am trying to hear a "tick" and don't Yeah! Hate it---now I am dreading hearing a "tick" when I start it.

Mine on a cold start,ambient garage temps above 40 as high as 80. Lasts up to a couple minutes usually. Not a horrific loud tick but it's there. And annoying. 6.2 '11.
Have not paid attention if it happens warm start. Will be paying attention tomorrow.

Just remote start your truck, and you never hear the ticking... Lol
