That's exactly what I was trying to get at before!

Possibly some of these guys are still waiting is because there dealers don't have anymore allotments. They already sold them to people willing to pay over whatever forum guys offered. Next thing they will hear is the dealers calling them saying they need to get on the list to order an MY18!!!

Ordered 8/12/16. #2 of 6 allocations. Dealer just got their first order in this past weekend. My order was priority #10 since I placed the order.

Are you sure you aren't #3 of #2?

Speaking for my case only, since you quoted me....

My dealer told me from day 1 that they had 3 total allocations. At first, I was #2 (the GM was #1...shocker). Then about 2-3 weeks later I was #3. The salesman said he had missed the #2 order which came in since it was from a different salesperson. At first I didn't believe it, but my order# is 1002, order #2 is 1001 and the GM's order # was 1000.

Some on this forum have a hard time with positivity; i.e., knowing that someone (like myself) is getting the Raptor BELOW MSRP (mine is $1000 below).

I have a DORA and every Friday AM when I check in with Ford Service, they let me know that order #1002 is clean-unscheduled. They have confirmed the order is "on the books".

My only problem was NOT KNOWING how the allocation system works, which is what the majority on this forum also missed out on.

So curious if anyone has an order older than mine that is still unscheduled?

hamster....

Might I suggest a revision to your tracking above?

Simply having the order date is not showing the big picture. It's not an apples-to-apples comparison.

What it needs next to the order date is the dealers total number of allocations and where you fall in that number.

For example:my order date was 7-27:

rms8 - 7/27/2016 #3 of 3

Knowing that I am #3 of 3 makes more sense now knowing how the allocation distribution works.

For those still not familiar with how the Ford allocations system works....as explained to me by my dealer *AND* a few on this forum (who have connections with Ford in some capacity) :

A dealers allocations are *EVENLY* distributed throughout the model year (MY). So, if a dealer has 24 Raptor allocations, they can reasonably expect to have approximately 2 orders pulled each month during the MY. If the dealer only had 6 allocations, he can expect to have one pulled for production approximately every other month during the MY run.

Maybe so...For your sake I hope so.

Evidence not in your favor...

ADM is/was $3k to $10k over MSRP. That's alot of cash for a dealer to pass up.

Many of us ordered trucks in Jan/Feb and received this year. In my case the dealer didn't even have an allocation. My dealer had two allocationd both sold before I spoke to them.

If your dealer didn't have an allocation the situation would look exactly the same.... Your order is in and is unscheduled clean.

No negativity on my part. But I did have a dealer owner tell me (as he was out of allocations) "send all your friends I will take orders all day long at $1k less than MSRP. I don't know when you will get your truck...If ever, but I will take the orders."

This is my take on this, local reps tell some of these small dealers they are going to get 3,4,5, allocations and when push comes to shove the reps take some of them allocations and give them to the big boys. When i ordered my truck in 14 the dealer told me they had 3 allocations [ i was # 1] and for some reason they lost the other two? The other small dealer in my town was told by rep they had 1 allocation they ordered truck and a month later they told them no raptor for you? Some of these reps are on the take i think?

This absolutely happens. I was told by a larger dealer in San Diego that some of the models they have are bought from smaller dealers and therefore they cannot afford to go less than 15k over.

I was the first order. My dealer is getting 3 allocations. Right now the dealership only sold 2 of there allocations because they didn't want a 3rd person waiting for an order. My order got bypassed because i have carbon fiber and beadlock wheels.

My dealership is having to barter to get there allocations. For the first one to get pulled they had to agree to take a focus electric. That truck just showed up last week.

I was told that to get there 2nd allocation they had to take a Taurus sho. So my order should be pulled any time now. My dealer is also fighting with there regional guy to get my truck built with cf and beadlocks. If not they will put my order in without them.

Long story short i should be getting my order pulled any time now.
