Oldest Order Still Unscheduled?

1st order attempt 7/30, told 12/7 that they overstated their allocation. The order is still in the system in case they happen to get an extra unit. Im writing this one off....

2nd order attempt 12/9, still unscheduled and waiting but im at the bottom end of the allocation.

I have DORAs for both orders.

I do wonder sometimes where some of you were on "the list" with your dealerships. What I mean by that is, say you were number 2 out of the 4 allotted raptors to that particular dealership, but you are still waiting for 6 months?

Questions:

1. following the above question, how do you even know 100% for sure if your dealer has 4 allotments? Because they said so or can you check officially somewhere?

2. How do you know if you really are #2 on the list or maybe #3, #4 decided to pay more than you, so they got moved ahead of you, without your knowledge.

3. Do any of you guys wonder at this point, your dealer might call you and say your just gonna have to wait until MY2018 because your order won't get finished in time? (maybe if that is what they told you, really they sold your unit already for higher price than what you were agreed on?)

If you trust Ford Performance and/or Ford Service (I've found plenty of reasons not to....but that's a different story), an order validation can be obtained. You can substantiate your dealer's claim of your order. Trouble starts though when the stories start changing, or are never the same, amongst the involved parties. I have chosen to believe my dealer, as they have been trustworthy in the past. If I was to subscribe to what Ford Service says, for instance, then I would be piping up loud and clear as one of the top 3 people to have ordered in July, and still be unscheduled clean. Yes, that is what Ford Service told me just this morning--I am still unscheduled clean. My dealer says I have a build date of March 20th. Quite the disparity.

You make some interesting points. The disparity is where I get confused to how you guys have been waiting for this long, but people outside the country are getting their raptors!

Well that seems less ambiguous--U.S. market is second class to Ford.

I am #3 of 3 total allocations. Wont make that mistake again. Seek a bigger dealership.

That's exactly what I was trying to get at before!

Possibly some of these guys are still waiting is because there dealers don't have anymore allotments. They already sold them to people willing to pay over whatever forum guys offered. Next thing they will hear is the dealers calling them saying they need to get on the list to order an MY18!!!
