So here we go, SDI E-CLICK install. Let me say, I can be a super critical person, especially when it come to install or assembly instructions. And while E-CLICK may be an amazing product (not yet tested by me but feed back is 100% positive) the install has a bit to be desired. (remember I posted error in fox live valve FRS instructions)

While many reading this will not ever install E-click I suggest to some extent to familiarize yourself with the install video.


First step is to install the main computer unit, it is mounted to the under hood fuse panel cover. a template foe drilling is provided. personally the template is useless and a template to another install point would have been much more helpful. As the module itself can be used as a template.

Also please understand, this isn't necessarily fun for me. I deal with vehicles all day and working on personal vehicles lost its appeal about 25 years ago. Oh don't get me wrong the end result is the goal, but getting there, ugh I have better shit to do most days.

I am a tiny bit embarrassed that the truck is so dirty during the build so far, But Cosmetically the outside is the lowest priority to me. I demand that my vehicles be 100% mechanically sound, and that the inside be well taken care of. I have posted a couple pics of the interior of my 2002 F350 in the past and for 22 years old (bought new Dec 21 2001) it is in great shape. With that, my modifications need to look professional, with that idea in mind please follow me.

I spent 30+ minutes (which sounds stupid I know) going over everything, digging through the box 5 time looking for extra parts. Thinking what am I missing. Bolts are to short, and missing spacers, this can not be right.20231209_145046.jpg20231209_145108.jpg

Ok, moving on. I actually hate modifying my vehicles. I don't like doing something that I can't undo if I don't like it. Hence why the bypass rack is not my first choice as fixing huge hole in the bed isn't easy. So next step is mounting the accelerometer/angle meter sensor to the cowl. This is where a template would have been of great help, as drilling hole in the wrong spot is pretty permanent. while that seems specific there isn't much guide as to the front to back location of the hole. I think I ended up slightly to the rear. With that. Instructions say to "mount sensor with hardware provided" well here it is.20231210_154641.jpg

This can be mounted 1 of 3 ways. spacer installed in the hole of the sensor, spacer between sensor and cowl, spacer inside the cowl with sensor mounted against the cowl. (think of my finger as the sheet metal of the cowl in 3rd picture.20231210_154658.jpg20231210_154730.jpg20231210_154811.jpg
