Oregon is a front plate state. In Portland the parking ****'s will give you a ticket for no front plate. The fine while parked is $80 and if caught while moving $180 min. No longer a fix it ticket.

Washington has the same left-wing, "run that front plate" OR I'll give you a ticket in a heartbeat so can get your tax dollars so I can spend it on something that's not needed mentality.

Even the meter maids will give you a ticket for not having a front plate if you're park downtown.

So I put mine on using a modified sto-n-sho bracket. I modified it to sit low enough so I can still run a onx6 in the grill.(will know next week how that works but it looks like it'll work fine)

So basically this is probably your best option if you have to run a front plate. And is easily removable for off-road if needed

Looks like a viable (and maybe the only) option.

Do you have a link to how you modified it?

(When are you gonna install those lights? I'm tired :ROFLJest: of waiting)

Haha...i needed to reorder a couple more things that I neglected to get right on my order, so all my stuff to start the install will be here by Wednesday.

At first I was bummed that I didn't have everything I needed but it all worked out cuz it's been about a hundred degrees here the last couple days. Too hot to work on the truck LOL

All I did to modify the license plate bracket was to "thicken" the bracket it attaches to the skid plate with by about an inch

I posted it in the some thread but I can't find it LOL. But essentially that's what I did... and you can't see the mod unless you get down on your knees to look; the plate hides it well... but I plan on leaving my plate on all the time anyway up here in " ticket me as quick as you can for more taxes to spend land":ROFLJest:

I just bought the bracket after getting 2 tix while parked in the last 2 weeks. It's only $25 but at this pace it's getting annoying. I would rather spend money in gas or mods rather than donating it to the city of Santa Monica. Fu@k them.
Would be great to see a pic of your modified mount, if you ever find it. I'll install the mount next week and take the plate off when off-roading

Okay so here is my excerpt from the last time I was asked about what I did and the links to the other threads.(below the line)

Bear in mind the main reason I lowered my plate was so that I could put an onx6 light in there without having to remove my plate... Just using the sto-n-sho mount on its own would work fine for a front plate Mount.

As stated it's not exactly pretty, but it works and you can't see it unless you get low. I've also been seriously contemplating LineX my front skid plate so having everything be black under there would hide it even better!
_______________________________________________________

I made a "makeshift" fatter bracket; painted the whole thing to match the skid; can't see it unless you get on your knees to look for it.

One thing I did do after the fact, was push the Sto-N-Sho plate bracket "past" the locking mechanism (it still is locked if you were to pull it forward), and painted the bracket to match the skidplate.

That way I let the plate rest against the bumper which IMHO tightens up the look a bit (I put one of those felt thingys that sticks to the bottom of a chair to protect the floor, to cushion the back of the plate against the bumper-you cant see that either)

My original post about it is below thread, post #370

Baja Designs: General Discussion Thread - GEN 2

Hope this helps!

...still looking. There's gotta be a cooler way the just double sided tape or bolted right in the middle.

But this is pretty nice!

I missed the joke but I though there was "STUFF" hiding behind both sides of the intercooler?

I'd drill the Skid plate first...
