They are ‘locker slides’ just like truck slides…..because they are. The yellow levers on the large slides fully lock at 3 positions - fully closed, mid-way and fully open. These are 500 lb rated and are super-smooth. Nothing moves once they are locked. And the carrier shelf is a 40” 2x10.

Now the parts bin slides using the Hart stacker boxes are only 200# rated. They still lock, but definitely more play in those.
That's pretty slick! I'll have to check those out! Thanks.

The boxes on the built-in base look great.

Saw some 24" deep Husky boxes in that width at HD last night for $700 each... but sadly in black only.

Just an observation, but at nearly 65yo, I try to avoid using very low drawers because it's far easier to get at tools stored at a height between my knees and my shoulders. I try to keep only the parts I'm currently working on right in front of me on the counter. (Obviously, snacks & beverages take precedence). There's no shame in having one toaster oven dedicated to lunch & another dedicated to heating up parts on the same counter.

Looks like you did cold water only? Did you think about running hot?

I'm running water into one of my garages so I can add a hosebib which will be in a location way more useful than where they are now- and I'm thinking I should pull hot too since I currently have easy access to run both. It'd be really nice to not have to use 40F water to rinse the car and your hands off when it's 40F out.

It's all copper piping in the house, but I'm thinking I will to transition to pex before going into the unheated garage JIC, and I plan to run two stubs down just after each shutoff valve where I can drain/blowout both pex lines.
