I've already had both my exhaust cats literally sieze up and clog my exhaust system. That, and both O2 sensors went bad as well.

It was all replaced under warranty. (exhaust Y-pipe and both sensors)

Emissions warranty is like 100K, isn't it?

I'd say let them fix it under warranty, until you no longer have one, then get creative!

100k sounds about right. Hard to keep track of warranty durations the way auto manufactures change them around year to year.

I was thinking 80k, but you guys are both right about saving the money and getting it done for free. So far I have had no new codes, but new headers will be easier to justify if the cats go bad. Besides, I will hopefully be having my new exhaust developed starting this week or next

Federal regulations require 100k emissions warranty for all vehicles, manufacturers have no say in the matter unless they wish to extend it longer

Thanks for all the input, and I agreed with the extra power on the headers. I just need to line my list of wants / needs up.

Funny, the check engine light that started this whole conversation has gone away, and not come back. All I did was change the airfilter to a high flow.... hmmmm

Next week the exhaust will hopefully start coming together, then I will look at headers. I know I know, why not do it all at once.... we are working on things in stages
