Well after 2+ years of waiting, dealing with lie after lie at dealerships, lost allocations, etc, etc...my number finally got called in July and my 2024 R was built 9/11/24 in Dearborn and arrived at dealer yesterday.
Initial Thoughts: I loved my '23 w/ 37, but this is next level. Even the instrument dash fonts are much better in 24 than 23; the HUD I still need to mess with (there is some reflection from edges on windshield that I need to put some black tape on); its MUCH smoother than my '23, ride is 10X better; super quiet inside (in regular mode), some complained about droning sound inside--I don't hear any--it's the quietest Raptor inside I've owned; don't know if its the different beadlocks but tires don't look as 'beefy' as my 23 '37 package (I know optical illusion); see they still have same AC issue I had in my '23 where after about 30 min it starts to blow harder (normally that would be a pro lol) and think line is freezing (so back to dealer for that); haven't gunned it too hard (yet) but it's got some serious pep, but I like that it's not whiplash kind of get up and go--more of a build up--I like it; B&O much better--this thing is thumping (same settings as my 37) I must have had some speakers not working on my 37; has the 'new' covers on the shocks that don't corrode; love the new front bumper--looks killer; only one day old so will post up more thoughts after 30 days.
Is R worth it over a standard '37 package--the answer is a resounding
hell yes. MSRP on 24 w/37 is like $94K, this is $114K...R is no brainer if you can get MSRP (or whatever your pocketbook thinks is fair). Would be very hard for me to go back to regular '37 now (and I loved that truck).
