I wish Ford kept the gunmetal color for the factory base wheel like in the raptors touring the autoshows.

I agree....it's an easy job for PlastiDip or similar. They have a gunmetal/anthracite that would look great on the stockers, plus add some protection and ease of going back to stock.

I thought I read early on that the OEM beadlock wheels were going to be the first time BL were going to be approved for road use (w/. BL ring not beauty ring).

All I'm hearing now is that it's for off-road use only. Is this typical corp lawyer CYA language or is it really not recommended. Kinda interesting that the install instruction state to check the torque specs after the first 500 miles. Doesn't seem reasonable to expect drivers to operate off-road only for that many miles.

That is exactly what I did to mine while I am waiting to get them powder coated. I think I might go a few shades darker than the anthracite with the actual powder coat.

Excellent! I think it makes the stockers look so much better.
