Hey there, I'm just sharing my recent experience on these leafs under a specific need/want I have in case it offers others some insight.

I was fortunate enough to be able to buy a set of WSI SD and a set of Deaver +3 to compare.

My specific need is (with the truck on mid-perch) to be able to carry about 300-350 pounds in the bed and keep a slight rear high rake. During hunt season I have decked drawers, gear and a dog in the bed and a spare underneath, for Raptor events I will have two spares a jack and a beg rack and in between I'll have just the drawers and a spare. ( I'l be towing too during hunt season but I'm using the SVC AB bum stop in tow mode to prevent any extreme sag)

so for me that means about 300-350 pounds at any given time.

I bought the WSI SD springs a few weeks ago. Had them installed and loved them. The ride quality was night and day better than stock and with the truck at mid perch it wasn't quite level, it was still nose down which is what i wanted. I can't say enough good things about the ride....such a vast improvement over stock. When I loaded the bed up with both tires and the jack in the bed rack the rear dropped to even or slightly below the front and the ride got a little squishy. (Still a great ride.) The drop in height I didn't like...this is a pet peeve of mine...i just like a slight nose down look

So, anticipating that this may happen I bought the Deaver +3s the week after I bought the WSI springs. I put the Deavers on tonight. With the same load but no break in, The rear is slightly higher by maybe 1". The ride is nearly identical to the WSI before the load up. (not to squishy) (the deavers need to settle). The truck is just barely ass high.

I have to drive the deavers more to get a better feel for the ride and how much more they will settle. if there are any significant changes ill post em up...

I wil say that the ride on both leafs is awesome. the rear end sticks, no hop, no bounce and they are both very smooth. If it weren't for my load carrying needs or want for a nose down truck either of these leaf springs would be perfect for me.

hope this is helpful..

Curious why you didn't choose the WSI HD springs instead? I've heard that they are similar to the +3s.

I liked having the opportunity to try and compare two different brands with solid reputations. If you're asking why not the HDs at first... The SDs were recommended to me.

Also by changing to the deavers I solved the issue of the rear spring clamp hitting my bump stop frame. (Not factored in the decision to switch Just a good by product of the decision )

Gotcha on the clamp and bump stop. I was just thinking a fair comparison of brands would of been to have similar types and the Deaver +3 and WSI HD would of been a more so-called apple to apple comparison. But then again, I know nothing and bring nothing useful as I am still a n00b on this stuff.

You're absolutely right. And if I were starting with the intention of a straight comparison rather than a correction and comparison I would have done what you suggested.

Funny enough I will be ordering the WSI HDs this morning to see how they handle the weight and use.

I'll report back after I have some experience with them.

what are you doing with the WSI's?

I'll be selling both of the extra sets after I make a final decision. Neither of them will have more than a fee hundred miles on them. I'll post up again when that happens.

Won't you run into the bumpstop interference again with the WSI springs?

Funny enough I will be ordering the WSI HDs this morning to see how they handle the weight and use.

Think it depends on the bumpstop but I can state as a matter of fact that it does with the RPG bump stop.
