You guys are so darn hilarious arguing about fuel. My truck has had 87 octane for 1500 miles. I also did some testing with a VBOX and saw ZERO difference in times between 87 and 91 octane. I took my truck to the track with 87 octane and it performed perfectly fine.

Funny, but, someone asked about octane and thus this started no one and I mean no one said it's absolutely octanes fault.

Have you read this thread? It had nothing to do with octane. It was a bad oil pressure sensor.

That doesn't change the fact that Ford recommends 91 or better, though. Facts are facts.

Yet everyone says including ford it can and should run on 87 with 0 issues as in 0, none.

does it really matter what octane or gas someone uses, its what you believe works for you. now tampons are a different story, sure they all absorb blood but it all comes down to applicator and comfort. its all about the user....

Back to the original post, I get a call from the service department. They said the oil pressure sensor is on back order until June 27th. Holy shit, i will not be able to play with my truck for o weeks. No one on here said they had similar issue but the service guy said this is a known issue. That is why there is a shortage for the oil pressure sensor. Guess I will just have to drive it gently. Now back the the gas debate.....

appreciate the good since of humor. you would be the first faulty oil pressure i have read about of both forums. wonder if some dealers ordered them all up, since the service guy said it is common. get a part number and i will see if there is one local while i am at the dealer tomorrow. gotta cancel the service and warranty on my 14.

This should have been a question asked on this forums registration page. Anyone who argues that an increase in octane does not make a difference in horsepower on a turbo engine should not be allowed on a car forum. End of story. Please close this thread!

No one was arguing that, they were arguing the verbiage of which fuel you should be allowed to run in the truck. May want to go back and review.
