Calling it "leather" at all is a stretch.

The only Fords that have got real leather in decades is the King Ranch truck seats- that same ones that most nobody liked and Ford dropped them.

I still want to swap in KR seats, but then i lose my special little raptor embroidery. (even though they aren't real either i just like the color)

That saddle leather was incredible, also very hard to maintain.

i know everyone likes to rag on dodge/stellantis, but their leguna leather and the foam for the seats are top notch. Dads got over 100k on his trackhawk and those seats look damn near brand new with some wrinkles as opposed to the 3 seats ive had in my trucks. Even his bolster is holding up even though he slides out of that thing everytime. Our seats at 30k are flattened if we do that.

The leather that comes with the gen 2 Recaros has areas that are like the nappa leather (gen 3 guys dont get any i dont think), but theres still some vinyl like the stock seats in a lot of places.

IMO at least w/e change they did to the gen 3 leather makes it look more matte and better looking, every gen 2 seat outside the recaros has that bright fake sheen to it. Wonder if that change is why we see so many wrinkles and other things.

Gen 1 SRT seats were incredible places to be.

Damn.

A discussion about a seat wrinkle. I thought I'd never see the days.
