Was just at my local Discount Tire getting my Trusty Tacoma's GY All Terrain Adventure Kevlar R&B. I mentioned my wife had bought "us" a Raptor (more like her:)) and I was interested in a purchase warranty for the already installed K02's. The associate smiled, said they had a plan for $170 that would cover them complete until replacement. THEN he walked me over to a display tire...this is what you should install next: The G2

G2 are same weight than the K02's,64 lb,ridge are 71.
for a daily the G2 think are better?

Yessir.
Less road noise and no traction degradation was my goal. I tried three different AT tires on my Tacoma, the best overall was my current GY ATs mentioned above which have a less aggressive but very utilitarian tread and Kevlar sidewalls.

The G2s look similar as do the Cooper AT3.
Still have mucho miles left on the K02's (unless I get in a police chase or the Baja 1000) so time will tell...

So what about a performance tire/rim combo? Don't scold me for asking but what if you have an E50 tune and would like to have an aggressive look but mainly want a lighter setup for the streets?

I'm not asking for Weld rims and slicks but is there an aggressive looking tire out there that is lighter or the same as the K02 and an acceptable 20 inch rim to hold it? I can't be the only one that wants to have that look at the stop light and dust anything next to you when it turns green!

The combination of a VenomRex VR-601 or VR-602 20" with a 325/60R20 Nitto Ridge Grappler is the same weight as stock.

Or, keep you stock tires and go with a lightweight 17" wheel like the VR-602, Enkei RPT1, or others and save yourself 10lbs per corner over stock. Feel free to send me a message and we can go over some options for you.

I'll likely keep KO2's on my truck when needing replaced. I've had various Nitto's on my previous Cummins... they look nice and were not notably loud (over the sound of a straight piped diesel) but never got the wear that I thought I should. My personal opinion is the KO2's are just a classy look for the Raptor and really do well for highway and light/moderate trails... my truck is 95% highway, so that's my main focus.

I ran Trail Grapplers on 2 different trucks and they lasted longer than the KO2s that came on my 2017 Raptor. I only have 9K miles on the KO2s on my 2020.

I have really liked my Ridge Grapplers through about 10k miles on my 2018 802a. Been through a full year and recently had snow and ice storms - they performed very well. Ride is great and they are quiet.
K02s had maybe 7k miles left when I replaced them, but the noise was really bad. Sounded like I was running BigFoot tires.
I did sacrifice about .5 mpg, assume it’s the weight difference from K02s.
