sorry for the delay but o man what a nightmare. still not done. did about 10 hours on it. manifolds were hard to get out. tried all sorts of tools, extensions, pivot attachments, different length sockets, etc just to get to the bolts and work them out. then the headers are almost impossible to get in. u need to weave it thru. since u cant see what your doing, getting the header bolts in are a trick too. got passenger header done then driverside on with most bolts in. i went to drop a duece while my buddy put in the last couple bolts and he dropped them and said he couldnt get them without removing the header. so then i had to clean the rtv off the block and header. we called it a night after that.
cant work on it today so i am going to try to finish it up monday night. honestly wish i had KHC install it at this point. ******* nightmare of a job! ive installed headers before and it was waaaaaaay easier than this. its by far the worst one i tackled.
i have monday off but i am at the mercy of the other guy as my truck is in his garage. so monday night we will go at it again. once we get the driver side header in it should be smooth sailing from there.
i can see if u did a few installs already and u go thru the trial and error u can get some tricks to make the install quicker but i cant see it getting done in much less than a days labor if not a full day. just the amount of parts that need to be removed and reinstalled not to mention the time of triple checking of everything during the install because u know u dont want to have to do this again.
