What makes the engine a 1 in 5 build? I think you can buy these all day long, and dealer service shops are able to get them easily as they are replacing engines.
I did see your other 8.X L engine. Are you planning to put that in this truck, or a different F100? That would definitely be much more interesting follow.
Also, why go turbo in this case and not with a roots blower? I would think the roots style would be easier/more consistent for tuning and power.
I have it in writing from Ford Performance that only 5 of these Raptor 450/510 crate engines were sold. This engine is number 4 of the only 5 sold. Go ahead and show me another turn key complete engine with wiring and full of oil with flywheel etc ready to go. This is not your over the counter engine from a Ford dealer but a complete crate engine from FP

Can a dealer get a reman replacement engine ? Of course. One can still go out and buy a 1932 Ford Flathead too.

Why would that be more interesting? This is one of the most unique builds you’re going to find; he did an amazing job.

As far as 1 of 5, go back and read the thread. It’s a crate engine, not a long block.

I just got done reading this entire thread and watching the walk-around video, I'm blown away! The fact that you got everything working and all work was done by you is even more impressive. Very cool.
Thanks! It was quite the challenge doing entire truck on my own! Not too many people out there will do this using the stock PCM and keeping features like TPMS, PATS, Cruise, AC, and also 100% stock F150 emissions complient for 2018-20 trucks that includes capless filler, carbon canister and all lines with ZERO check engine lights etc. The stock 1966 F100 Shifter works the 10spd using mechanical linkage. The most difficult things were removing wiring and components not needed but yet having the rest of it work so had to make my own wiring harness starting off with one from a F150.

If I had a lathe and a mill I would also have working ABS like I did on my first swap. A build like that with ALL electronics that a 2018-20 F-150 has is in process. Things like electronic steering, trailer sway, anti roll, anti skid, satellite radio, 360 deg cameras along with towing functions is in the works.

I also have another (5 current ecoboost swaps) 1966 F250 that FoMoCo donated a 3.5 engine, trans, transfer case and a prototype PCM. It has Ford GT turbos on it. It will be my tow rig/camper trailer hauler. Have had it running back 5-6 yrs ago but I need to paint and finish it.

I still have FP shipping box.
UPS truck delivers box
Tag Ford Performance says 4 of 5 on box.
In writing from Performance manager (i made promise i would not post that info) 4 of 5. If one understands the tags on valve covers the number JS 382 AA is not destined for a production vehicle and is a Engineering prototype. Any production truck would be JS 382 AB or higher.
It also came with engine cradle which was included in the weight when i took out of pallet. 411 lb with crate. I bit back won’t say exactly when FoMoCo donated another Prototype 3.5 inc transmission and transfer case.
It has Ford GT turbos to fit truck. First pair released. Ask about anyone and they will say didn’t happen!
To make it all legal there was very specific wording per Ford Legal dept i had to post online 1x. I did that. Here is that engine installed in a 1966 F250 Deluxe Camper Special Ranger. Should easily make 500hp to tire on 93 octane so I’m told. Not just run of the mill exhaust manifolds either.
This truck has “offroad” exhaust.

This engineering mule engine has a VIN and it will show as such on carfax etc but it gives ZERO info. FoMoCo deleted all database from build as it never existed so was pretty challenging to make it all work.
