Im skitzo about this... I cant fault the looks, but i would put Raptor runningboards on it, I use mine every day and would hate to have to hop up/down 2 feet to get in and out of the thing, but folks take their runningboards off their Raptors, so WTF. As for performance, the eco engine is awesome, and I would have ordered mine with one if it were available...close on hp and more torque with better mpg. Also, the vid referred to above about the ecoRaptor indicates that it's lighter, mostly due to the engine I expect. Where i get confused is cost....the referenced video indicates that the ecoRaptor buildup cost was somewhere north of $80K, which seems just a "tad" high for my tastes...I would have burnt the extra $30K somewhere else like guns and booze...just me. Not gonna dis the guy for the truck, though...I want his wheels/tires. My guess is that it would hang with any stock Raptor. I am intrigued, though, as to why it's for sale....with all the dough spent on it.

Ecoboost raptor is that much if you buy a raptor and just swap out the engine. What skippy did above is put raptor parts on an ecoboost f-150, which I believe is the same thing SDHQ did. They at least put everything on it.

But even still it will never be a raptor because it will always be lacking off road mode, hill decent, and other electronic experience of a raptor. At SVT, they told us "you can't out drive this truck".... You can probably out drive that ecoboost thingy though...

Excellent points on the electronics, RWifey. Logic points = 10.

In the video, I thought I heard that they did a frame swap on the SDHQ truck, because of the 6.5' FX bed. Seemed like a lot of patchwork and expense for the engine novelty to me....

The electronics aren't that special. Off road allows the locker to be engaged to 100mph and shift points are different which don't matter if you use manual mode. Hill decent, meh... just put it in 4lo and lock it in 1st and you'll get the same effect.
