The way I see it, if you wanna build a bad ass truck thats just as/more capable than a raptor, by all means DO IT! Just dont call it a raptor and go around bragging about it. Its not a raptor and never will be. Its still just a F150. Would you go out and buy a mustang GT, dump a bunch of money in it, and call it a cobra? No. Cuz its not. Its one thing to have something, just dont call it something its not.

Haha some of you guys are harsh and some of you are being downright *****. The raptor is an F-150 trim level not a trophy truck lol.

Why bash this guy so hard? This is the exact consumer who is gonna buy your fiberglass fenders when you want to upgrade to glassworks/boatecs, your oem shocks when you want 3.0's, your oem front arms when you want a double shock setup, your oem seats when you cage your truck, your bed and tailgate for when you really go off your rocker, Etc, etc...

These conversions should be encouraged. Just my .02... I've sold somewhere around $7K worth of stock parts to help fund my build.

This replies on this thread are stupid. I have seen this truck first hand. It has full raptor oem parts including suspension, axles, bodywork, seats, interior, etc. He built it that way because he wanted an ecoboost and couldn't buy it.

So you're saying it has more OEM Raptor parts on it than a third of the Raptors on this forum?

I don't quite get the "it's only a Raptor if the VIN matches Ford's list of Raptors." A Raptor is a few different neat bits added to an F-150. Sounds like this guy added all the bits that really count, because he wanted a different motor. Guessing it cost more than my truck did, and guessing he didn't care.

There's got to be a bazillion spare Raptor parts for sale out there now, from the aftermath of this forum alone. The only thing wrong with this is that someone needs to go build a regular cab short bed and post it up already.

Unfortunately you can't get a regular cab short bed anymore, the raptor is the only f-150 you can even get a super cab short bed now
