Like my duratraks for wet and snow
The coopers are a pound or 2 lighter than the KO2s.The nice thing about the KO2s is the weight. They do have noise and balancing issues past 20K miles in some cases. The really nice tires that everyone loves tend to be load range D/E and weight 5-10 lbs more. There are some D loads that don’t weight much more, but I worry how changing the “spring rate” on the final part of the suspension system would affect performance.
I don't see made in china but am getting ready to throw a pair of WIldpeaks on. I also have a plow so need the traction. I'd be interested to know what you get and $!Around 47k miles on my 2020 OEM KO2s. Noticing a lot of traction issues in wet weather, even when not starting from a complete stop I'm spinning the tires with acceleration. Looking at these options (in order).
1. Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T or M/T (thoughts?)
2. Stick with OEM KO2 (C-S)
3. BFG KM3
4. Goodyear Wrangler MT/R
Is there other options I should consider? I've ruled out Nitto, and probably the Falken Wildpeak (not sure how well Chinese tires hold up).
Could you give more info on why you say this?KO2. I would avoid Ridge Grapplers if you are in a cold weather environment.
