Sounds like he is talking about something like this.

Yikes. If they do the cowl it should be the whole section that's already raised. Not just the very middle. From the outside of the heat extractors over would look sick

"Faaaaacinating," as Mr. Spock would say. I did something very similar to my 1986 1/2 Nissan 4x4. I went to the junk yard and found a turbo hood scoop for the anniversary version of the Nissan ZX sports car, and installed it in the center of the hood of my truck. I mounted it pointing rearward to suck up the high pressure air at the base of the windshield, and welded up plumbing under the hood so that the engine intake breathed exclusively through the scoop. It was a true CAI. It worked really well, and was a one-of-a-kind installation that drew a lot of favorable comments. That truck also had a tailpipe from a Porsche 944 and a gearshift that was the cyclic control stick from a Vietnam era UH-1.

I like the way that looks, might even be able to get away with a bit more rise in it. Especially if you have the fiberglass fenders too. It'd really make the truck look mean.

I'll be interested in seeing pics and a price on it.
