Behind the grill will block cooling to either the radiator or intercooler. Plus the light output is blocked more behind a grill.

You would be best served calling @Specialtyperformanceparts and upgrading the factory fog lights to some BD Squadrons. Get the sports in a combo lens.
Thanks @Nex !

(To the original poster and others)

There are so many options.

One thing that wasn't mentioned on here are points of view and positions.

So A-Pillars are up HIGH and give you more of a straight line of sight. That's why often times people do Spots up there. (That and the fact that scattered or wide beams reflect off the hood). I do like Driving patterns sometimes too though. NOT diffused up there.

The lower down you go (Lower bumper, fog pockets) the more you aim or hit the road. Which can especially be good for seeing your surroundings. Especially closer objects.

The center of the grille, and or bumper are an excellent MID point. It casts further as its suspended higher than the lower bumper. But it also is low enough to get some good light on the ground to see some surface surroundings.

So behind the grille lights are a good choice if you want hidden for sure.

We also have kits for behind the lower grille.

There are many many options. It really comes down to what is most important to YOU.

For some, its price point. For others, its the brightest possible. Again others, its focused areas of light.

In short, we can help anyone fit something into whatever category works best for them. We aren't pushy trying to get people to spend money. We want everyone to get what works for them or is best for their needs. Not ours.
So if you want help or guidance. Feel free to hit us up and we would be happy to help you get on the right track for YOUR look and needs.

In the mean time. Here are some links to Gen 3 Raptor light kits and videos-
