Thank you for the help this saved me tons. Now to find a replacement.

hmm...ok...is there something I can do physically to manually test the transfercase maybe? I'm going to ask a ton of questions here so sorry in advance.

Edit: Yes it does make that ratcheting noise when doing that.
The ratcheting noise is the park Pawl in the transmission bouncing off the locking gear attached to the out put shaft of the transmission. Since it is no longer attached to the drive shaft through the transfercase it is not stopped when the vehicle wheels are stopped. it is still spinning and the park Pawl can't engage the locking gear fast enough, it isn't designed to make a spinning shaft come to a screeching hault, only to keep a stationary shaft, well stationary.

Yeah we figured out the t-case is the cause. Found a lovely silver sparkle and a nice blackish fluid with plenty of chunks from the t-case top plug. I'll post a vid tomorrow.

Transfer case gets ignored alot, only holds about 2 - 2 1/2 quarts of fluid.

I change mine every 3rd oil change and I change my oil alot.

New/Used transfer case picked up today. Cost $125 with 130K mi from previous Raptor. Precision Auto Parts in Phoenix, AZ was amazing and has a massive collection of parts available. Got to talk with the owner too and they informed me to spread the word because they have a lot of Raptor parts available. I told them we are going to develop a lovely relationship. lol

I'll post in the coming day or so the carnage from when I drain the transfer case as a warning that y'all need to keep up on inspections and services of our trucks. I overstepped this and paid the price.
