New good year tires , very light

Just pulled the trigger and got a set of these to replace my ko2, local ford dealer was having a deal at 253 per tire, americas tire price matched, went with them for road force balancing and free future rotation and balancing, I have them right now at 34 fronts and 32 rears cold. First impressions they bite a lot better than the ko2, low road noise, better ride and seat of pants test it feels like the truck takes off better than ko2s. I’ve only had them for a couple hundred miles but I’m very happy right now. Only time will tell how they hold up. Haven’t had the chance to test in rain or snow, will update with pictures tomorrow.

That was a killer deal. Currently they are $317.80 each on TireRack.

Just an update, still very happy with these tires, 36/34 cold psi is what I found to be my sweet spot as far as pressure. Had a good rain storm yesterday, and was driving around during the hardest downpour. Was very happy and impressed with the performance of these tires. Gripped great, no spin, didn’t have to put it in 4a like in the past with the ko2.

Interesting just got a set for free today. Decided to put them on since my set of ko2 is houling at any speed and I’m feeling the knobs at low speed on my steering wheel. The ko2s only have 22k miles on them and have plenty of thread left but the noise and drivability reminds me of my Jeep.
The new tires have solved both problems. I personally like the look of ko2s better and would have bought those if I had to pay for them.

Here is the width comparison between the two. Sidewall to sidewall the widths are identical. However the footprint of the ko2s are about 3/4 inch wider

I have about 3 months and 7k miles on mine. Still like them.

Side wall to side wall measurements on both are identical . But the ko2 has 1 inch wider foot print. Given the lower weight and no noise that’s a good trade off in my opinion

So, I have about 13k miles on my Goodyear's and I had them rotated a few thousand miles ago (every 10k synthetic oil change) and they were initially very loud after the rotation. The sound has since smoothed out. I'm wondering if it was the tread thickness differences between front and rear when they got rotated that caused them to become loud. Anyway, I guess they evened out a bit and are relatively quiet again.

They do seem to be ~40-50% of the way through the tread, so I got about 30k on my original OEM K02's, hoping to get the same out of these. Time will tell, but overall still quite happy with the Goodyears.

So, another update. At 18k miles and roughly 12 hours of highway driving coming up, I am tossing in the towel on the Goodyear Territory tires. They are REALLY loud at highway speeds above 80mph. Almost sounds like a old Huey chopper (except maybe not quite as loud as that). Like annoying loud at 18k miles. Like no way in hell am I going to listen to that for 6 hours each way with my wife and 4 year old boy and 15 month old boy driving down to see family 4th of July weekend.

So, getting bent over on some new K02's at like $1700 installed at noon today. gulp. Tire prices are pretty crazy nowadays. I just remember the K02's didn't get annoying loud until like 30k miles which is reasonable for me. 18k miles on the Goodyears and I feel unsatisfied.

…so not trying to be funny, they are fine below 80? We have max 85 mph speed limits here, and the truck chugs gas above 70-75.

It gets progressively louder as you go above 70 and annoying at 80+. I drive efficiently so 70-75 ain’t gonna work on parts/most of the drive.

New K02’s on and it’s nice and quieter again.
