So, I had some sort of sticky residue on the passenger's rear door panel cup holder- at the end of the arm rest. I screwed up and used some industrial goo-gone which ended up ruining the finish and leaving white spots. I tried to find a replacement piece through the Ford dealer but they told me I had to order a new door panel at the tune of $700. Any chance anyone know if I can order just the trim piece or if there is a paint that I can use to blend this in without replacing the entire panel. Thanks for any help you all have.....C

here, on frf
need to know exactly what you used. some types will leave it white, but with a wet towel will turn back to the original color. you can try the spray wax/ interior cleaner and see if it comes back

Are you sure that you didn’t just turn the residue white. I have found when that happens, WD-40 sprayed on a rag and wiped on the surface works. Let it sit a minute or two. Try a very small area.
