Nav-tv problem

Fridays are not my lucky day with this new 2014 raptor. I'm having a nav-tv unit put in at a highly respected shop. They've never done one before but they thoroughly went through the instructions and were confident we would not have a problem.

sync is going crazy. Nav is not working right, climate controls don't work, it just black out for 5 min and came back on.

I brought it back, and they called tech support who said that in some raptors we have to install some switch related to the video in motion. There is nothing about this is the manual whatsoever. Can somebody clue me in to what this is about?

Get hold of Noah. He installed mine and I don't have those issues.

All new aftermarket head units require you to have your parking brake set to use the DVD function. Some shops will try to bypass this and if they mess it up will cause errors with your setup. This could be the cause. On a side note, how has a highly respected shop never installed a NAV-DVD unit before?

Actually a stock 14' won't play DVD anyways so not sure why they would mess with that

With respect to the question about why they are highly respected, I should have been clearer that they have done nav tv but not a nav tv unit on a 2014 raptor. They came recomended by a super high end detailing co which I trust. The installers have been great so far and the co - owner is all over fixing the problem and has been excellent on communication. Soreal sounds in stoneham ma.

i did it when i was out there for trr. he got lucky. i also spoke to the shop and hopefully we can get it figured out.
