I would think they would just push a software database update that's downloadable.

The software update is only for the Sync system and that is downloadable. This is the Maps and POI's and that is not done by ford. Its done by a third party map company and that is why you pay for the update. Ford has nothing to do with it.

The older NAV system (before MyTouch) was $199 so this is a bargain.

Excuse my noob status but does this SD card plug into the slot in the centre console or somewhere else. I ask because I have my Raptor here in Australia and even though the navigation does not work here I would have thought I would have received this SD card anyway.
