It is actually not related to allocation at all... Its order placement date. Even if that dealer wasn't allocated, but you placed the order before Sept 2021, you will get a MY2021.

Allocated orders get built first but other orders placed before Sept get build dates before the MY2021 begin to happen.

So, in a worst case scenario you could get a MY2021 in Jan of 2022
Not what the first dealer told me. He took my order and then, after the order banks opened, called to tell me there was a problem; namely, the system wouldn’t accept the order for a MY2021. After I pressed for an explanation, he said that he had used up his 2021 allocation (despite telling me a week earlier that he still has an allocation) but if we allowed the order to sit there, Ford would process it as a MY2022 when the MY2022 banks opened and he received his MY2022 allocation.

Not saying you’re wrong. Just conveying experience and info from dealer.

Did the order eventually get kicked back by Ford at some point or did the dealer just come clean with you about the lack of allocation? I thought I read at least a few people saying that according to FP, eventually the order would get rejected.
The latter. He came clean about using up his MY2021 allocations after it became obvious that he wouldn’t be able to order a MY2021. He suggested that I sit tight and wait for the order to process later in the year as a MY2022.

This is correct. Due to the shortened production timeframe dealers had to have allocation to get a 2021. Some dealers did not and will not get any 2021’s

Does every dealer get at least 1 allocation? I ordered mine from a really small dealer. Im the only raptor order they have. But it still hasn't been scheduled. It is scheduled clean according to FP

No not Every dealer is getting allocation this year. Some dealers like mine would get 3-4 in a normal year they got one this time and it’s mine. But you should be ok it would have kicked back if they don’t have allocation

I completely understand however, as most people on this forum understand, dealerships are much less informed than FP is.

Oddly enough, I think most folks on the forum didn't get their VIN or build date from the dealer but, rather than from Ford Performance.

Like you, I'm only passing along my interaction with ford performance. I hope you guys all get exactly what you want! With all the speculation, someone is bound to be right!

Don’t think FP was giving out VINs but I get what you‘re saying.

It can be just as frustrating being scheduled.

I went from week of 9/6 to a build date of 8/23, then 8/25, and found out this morning that I've been moved to a build week of 10/18.

I checked to see if my window sticker was ready before contacting FP this morning.
Man that sucks. I had build date 8/23. Last week they moved to week of 9/20.
