i think its a matter of commoditys ie we have 13 sets of beadlock wheels any of these orders have them? yeah i have 5 here but they have auto starts on them we only have 3 of them on hand just move 3 orders to next week. i will bet money thats how the schedulers are working.
More then likely correct yes. Just seems odd all around as far as so much movement randomly even within a week before ect. To me sounds more like theres no preplanning it sounds like a jumbled mess. For sure if I were to get bumped to a 22 I'd prolly cancel cause there's no way this is gonna get better by 2022.

agree as well, that or I may try to snag one at msrp or close from a dealer already ordered, theres a few around me that arent spoken for yet..... its really getting ridiculous. Not trying to stir pot or salt wounds, but I would think being an "employee" more info would be readily available or made known at least of everything going on...I am NOT saying build mine first, but you would think info at least would be more available per say to keep those that work for big brother happier.....but once again wishful thinking i know.

This has been discussed a bunch but I think it gets lost in the massive order threads.

Confirmed by Ford Performance, if you placed an order before the September date in 2021, your model year will be 2021 regardless of delivery date. If you place an order after the September timeframe, you will receive a MY2022 (no trim or package differences just the year change) but, that MY2022 will only start delivery after all of the 2021 custom orders are delivered.

I hope this helps clear it up.

This is consistent with what I understand. The confusion, I think, is that some folks don’t know that “placed an order” means “placed an order with a dealer who has an allocation.” If I place an order in July 2021 with a dealer who doesn’t have a 2021 allocation, Ford won’t process the order until the dealer receives an allocation, which would almost certainly be for the following MY. In other words—at least as I understand it, having been burned by a dealer earlier this year—that hypothetical July 2021 order with a dealer who has no 2021 allocations would result in an order for a MY2022.

But as you suggested, if the dealer *does* have a 2021 allocation, that order will result in an order for a MY2021 even if the delivery is in December 2021.

Did the order eventually get kicked back by Ford at some point or did the dealer just come clean with you about the lack of allocation? I thought I read at least a few people saying that according to FP, eventually the order would get rejected.

It can be just as frustrating being scheduled.

I went from week of 9/6 to a build date of 8/23, then 8/25, and found out this morning that I've been moved to a build week of 10/18.

I checked to see if my window sticker was ready before contacting FP this morning.
Yeah, I totally get it. Just would be nice to see AT LEAST SOME progress. They said nothing has been updated on the build since it was received at FP.

It is actually not related to allocation at all... Its order placement date. Even if that dealer wasn't allocated, but you placed the order before Sept 2021, you will get a MY2021.

Allocated orders get built first but other orders placed before Sept get build dates before the MY2021 begin to happen.

So, in a worst case scenario you could get a MY2021 in Jan of 2022
